The above photo is known as the pyramid of the stars. It had a courtyard with rooms. On the east side
there is a small base with its temple. In its entirety, this structure was the most elegant palace with a
temple that was at Xochicalco. It was probably the residence of the highest ruler and/or priest of the city. It
gets its name from the three stars or large cut stones that are found in the temple which have inscriptions
relating to the rulters, including dates of enthroning, feats, etc.
entropinzacion, hazanas, etc.

The photos from above show the view going down and up a stairway at the Xochicalco Ruins.

The acropolis, the highest area of the site, was the residence of the rulers of Xochicalco. The complex
contained two floor levels; however, only the lower level can be seen now. Two clearly different parts can
be seen at this site. The eastern side still preserves rooms and beds of different dimensions. This area
was for daily activities and was the habitational area. The western area shows evidence of four large halls
with a central courtyard, and since there is no other architectonic element associated, it suggests that its
use was exclusively for ceremonies.
exclusivamente ceremonial.
